A visit to the Cotton Patch

Earlier this week I drove down to Bradenton to purchase the "Fit to be Geese" ruler at the Cotton Patch quilt shop. It is over an hour away from me, but I needed the ruler and they are the only LQS that carries it in our area.

I always love to go to the Cotton Patch. The owner, Laura, always has the prettiest samples made up. Here is a little tour -

I don't get down there very often, but every time I go Laura has some beautiful new creations displayed.

I just bought the "Jelly Roll Quilts" book by Pam & Nicky Lintott. Three of the quilts pictured are from that book.

This is my favorite. It is so different then the one pictured in the book.

It is well worth the visit if you are ever in the Sarasota/Bradenton area. There are 3 or 4 quilt shops within easy driving range.

Now, if you have about 4 1/2 minutes, please take a look at this short video. These are some young ladies who are doing a conference for girls (ages 12 and up) who may be at a crossroad in their young lives. If you are in the southeast area of Florida, there is a conference this weekend in Vero Beach.

Have a happy quilting weekend!

I just love your blog header. Fabric, what an addiction! LOL I love it. My 3 favorite "lose myself" places:

1.) thrift store/flea market/antique shop
2.) Book Stores
3.) fabric shops

Life doesn't get any better! LOL
