Just before she was scheduled to speak I ran to the restroom so I would not have to go in the middle of the program. There was this really goofy lady in there brushing her teeth and talking to me a mile-a-minute through a mouthful of toothpaste. I quickly returned to my seat and moments later Eleanor was introduced and out walked "the goofy lady" who had been brushing her teeth. Gotta love Eleanor!Char Wirfshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16128037696967203916noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9185631250823190793.post-26576896378801336612013-02-01T21:00:09.541-08:002013-02-01T21:00:09.541-08:00I grew up in a sewing family. I remember the first skirt I made, followed by a pair of walking shorts with a pocket zipper. Now, my sister and my sister-in-law and I follow in their footsteps.Miki Willahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01903615512823465964noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9185631250823190793.post-38401346686185753222013-02-01T18:20:49.170-08:002013-02-01T18:20:49.170-08:00Hopefully you will be healed soon and get to start...Hopefully you will be healed soon and get to start quilting again.Cheryl's Teapots2Quiltinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01005480747596617459noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9185631250823190793.post-37220150977285641622013-02-01T09:15:27.363-08:002013-02-01T09:15:27.363-08:00I'd forgotten all about "Quilt in a Day&q...I'd forgotten all about "Quilt in a Day" when I wrote my post! Thanks for the reminder. My mom took that class and made a quilt for my husband and I the first Christmas we were married--I still have it. For some reason, I never pursued quilting back then, but I'm sure doing it now! Thanks for sharing your story.Gwenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16884521740303822488noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9185631250823190793.post-86120055545253382342013-02-01T05:34:51.146-08:002013-02-01T05:34:51.146-08:00Sounds like we started about the same time. Saw a rotary cutter and wondered why anyone would ever use something like that!Glenna @ Hollyhock Quiltshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00518906823692738484noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9185631250823190793.post-52936093977798412092013-02-01T05:31:54.280-08:002013-02-01T05:31:54.280-08:00I love hearing individual's sewing stories.
