One of my favorite things to do with vintage 9 patches is to make them the center of a simple Variable Star. Just add the star points to the 4 sides with a block on the corners and voila'! And yes, they look l...*swoon* Those are gorgeous! And yes, they look like feedsack. I agree with the vintage sheet, although I wouldn't hesitate to add reproduction fabric or regular quality muslin. I would probably try to match up one of the colors with a Kona solid for sashings.
