Instead, we had asphalt. But it was surrounded by beautiful trees lining the sidewalks. They tore down the old h...I love seeing your area. They tore down the old high school in my hometown-the one my dad graduated from and the one he attended. In the town where I live that made the old high school into Senior citizen apartments. They even left the old blackboards in some of them. It was the high school for yrs. and than they built a new high school and turned the old red school into an elem. I went there 1st thur 6th grade. It had a big tall slide for a fire exit. It looked like a corn silo from the outside. It was fun doing drills because we got to slide down . The building had three stories.
