Texas State Fair

I have never been to the great state of Texas, but I have a very dear friend Sharon (no blog) who lives in Garland Texas. She and her family recently went to the State Fair. She knows how much I love to quilt, so she sent me a few pictures.



Don't you just love the boots?




This one is just too cute :-)



And I think this one is my favorite.

Sure wish I could have been there to see all these beautiful quilts in person. Thanks for coming along with me on a virtual tour :-)

    Sharon knows you well. Those are lovely quilts. Is Texas State Fair has anything to do with Quilt Market? I have been to Quilt Market once and I was overwhelm by it all, but I love it and would like to get back again - Hugs Natima

    You should go to Houston for the quilt show. It's great. I think several of us are thinking of going next year. You should think about it.

    I used to live in Garland! I lived in TX for five years [without a/c in my house or car, mind you] and went to the State Fair every year. LOVED it. I didn't quilt at that time though, so never looked - isn't that awful!

    I specially love the quilt with the fringe - very TX!

    Thank you for posting a comment about my quilt on my blog. I love quilting and love doing other crafts. I live in Texas and have never gone to the State Fair. Those quilts are lovely, right? I have gone to the Houston Quilt Festival several times.

    Great pictures of beautiful quilts! Wouldn't it be fun to enter a quilt at the fair. Our NC fair is going on right now. Would love to go see the exhibits, especially the quilts. Maybe some day I will be good enough at quilting to enter one.

    I love texas. Except for Longhorn Football of course. My best friend lives in Houston and my fav. vacation is camping on the beach in Galveston. You have to go. The beach is not pretty and clean like Daytona or any of the major beach vacation spots. But the people are so nice and No crowds. I love it. Oh, the quilts are so pretty.

    I recognize one of those quilts, the cute little boy's quilt was designed by Brenda Riddle from Acorn Quilt and Gift Co. She will be tickled to know that her design made it to the Texas State Fair!

    Thanks for sharing all the pictures your friend shared with you. Nice picture show with the morning coffee. My favorite was the boldly colored, graphic log cabin.
