Well I did it!

I love reading the Quilting Gallery. They always have such interesting posts and fun contests. Every week they sponsor a new contest. This week the theme is Fall Splendor.

So I jumped in and submitted a quilt.

This quilt.

This is the first time I've ever submitted one.

I love this quilt. It's one I made for my BFF. It's a simple pattern, a variation from an Eleanor Burns pattern. But the colors just seemed to flow when I started putting it together.

So tomorrow, if you go to the Quilting Gallery, you will have an opportunity to vote for your favorite Fall quilt. I'd love for you to vote for mine (Fall is in the Air), BUT if you see another that you like better, I would want you to vote for YOUR favorite.

Have a wonderful quilting day!

  11. What a beautiful quilt...I hope it gets in! As I was reading your post about scraps, I realized how many small pieces I have so last night I started crafting some hair bows for my great niece who will turn 6 months this month. All you need are 5 2x2 pieces folded and sewn and some cute buttons. Each one took about 5 minutes...I made 5 bows watching a TV program last night...

  17. Hi there, I absolutely love this quilt-and you motivated me to dig in my stash for fabrics so I could make a autumn quilt for hubby. I've even got a book by Eleanor-"Quilt in a day Log Cabin Patterns" but I'm having a hard time finding the variation you used here. Could you help me out-I haven't done strip piecing much and if you could direct me to any info on how to achieve this look I'd be so grateful and hubby would too.
Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for any help.
    Hugs, Noreen
