Four months ago....

114 days ago I fell and broke my right wrist.  It was a very bad break, which warranted a pretty big surgery.

Two plates and 15 screws later, I was sent to this place two weeks after surgery.

And this has been my full time job for the last 14 weeks.

I start my therapy here...........

in the hot box :-)  My hand is warmed with the swirling of crushed corn stalks.

And this has been my view...............

and some of the toys I get to play with.

BUT good news is ahead......  Because I had such an amazing hand therapist (thank you Emily), and I've been doing my homework, this weekend I was doing THIS.............

Yes friends and neighbors, the Happy Cottage Quilter has been wielding the Olfa Rotary Cutter and making those all important cuts.  A baby quilt in the making!!!

Is it time to party yet???

  24. I so know what that is like and can totally sympathize. A bunch of years ago I broke my wrist, same story..needed surgery though you have me beat since I only have 1 plate and not 2, but the physical therapy was essential. I didn't start until 6 weeks after surgery per docs orders and my wrist was frozen straight. It took a long, long time to get it moving again. Thank goodness it all worked out because right after I finished my sessions, we flew to Vietnam to bring our baby boy home.
