Ha~ need, have or want? I am with you I have always crochet (so it seems) and a few years ago I started the knitted dish cloths...just can't stop & yes it's therapy! Smile... I find it relaxing & clicking away, what is so nice you complete them fairly quickly! I also have started making them and going larger for a small towel for a lil-gift! Fun & everyone loves them! Blessings~ Lori
I am also finding therapy in the knitting. My mom passed away the end of April and since then I can't seem to stay in my sewing room. I still need to keep my hands and mind busy so I have been making dishcloths, face washing pads (mini washcloths) and scrubbies. I have enough to stock a small store. I know what all the girls in the family will be getting for birthdays and Christmas.
My second "Mom" knits those for me and they are the best! I don't knit but I do some crochet. Have not tried one of the crocheted ones yet. I did some pot holders and am trying to make some rugs.
My needles of choice are crochet, but I too have been making washcloths! Baby versions. :)
I've lost your email, but I did want to say thanks for swapping buttons with me the past three months! I'm working on redoing the sponsor spots on my blog so sadly I have to take yours down, but hopefully we can swap again in the future! :)

Socks -- the fourth pair since that pooling sock yarn challenge convinced me that I wanted to start knitting them again. But I think I'm getting tired of the k2p2ribbing. I need to start a pair with lace or cables or *something* exciting!
I sew, crochet, cross stitch and quilt but I've never learned out to knit. It's hard being a left hander. I've never found anyone to teach me. Now that I'm retired, maybe I'll give it a try. I'd love to have a few dish cloths like yours! Very nice!
Your dish cloths are so pretty. I love the striped colors. If you get too many, you can glady send me a couple. I am using one that was given to me as a gift at least 4 or 5 years ago and it's starting to look pretty ragged!! ha. I don't let anyone else see it I'm so embrassed. ha Maybe I'll learn how to do it too. Thanks much.

Dish cloths make wonderful gifts! You can also make "spa cloths" and wrap them around a bar of special soap tied with a ribbon for a nice gift!

ReplyDeleteI knit a little and would love to have an easy pattern for the dish cloth. Is the pattern on line?

ReplyDeleteYears ago I made tons and tons of those. I don't think you can actually have enough...because they make great gifts for visitors too.
