They say......

that patience is a virtue.  However when it comes to making a quilt top, I don't think I have much patience to wait it out.

As I stood at the design wall, looking at my Goodnight Irene quilt blocks, I just kept going.  I found a similar pattern in the book "Open a Can of Worms" by Debbie Caffrey.   I liked the slender border, finishing with the wider border of the coordinating fabric.  So I now will say Good Bye to Goodnight Irene.

Thank you Terry for the jump start on this quilt.

  1. So, now that the quilt face is done, how will you quilt it? Got a pattern in mind? I've loved watching you progress on this project ...

  2. You gave me a chuckle with the good-bye! That border fabric plays very nicely with the block pattern.

  4. I like a slender and then a wider border ... but I've never carried the thinner border all the way out to the ends of the quilt ... I like it and will have to try that myself!
