Hi Jocelyn, I agree on the HST block, although I used to be afraid of them. Now that I have conquered that fear, I am amazed at how versatile the block is. I adore pinwheels, but to think they also make flying geese and chevrons is just amazing. Love your quilt - so glad it is no longer a UFO and it will give someone so much pleasure. ~smile~ Roseanne
Ooh that's pretty!!! I love them too - I'm just not very good at them. Precise piecing doesn't seem to be in my genetic make-up. But I'll keep trying, cuz I do love them!
Though I am terrible at the precise cutting and stitching these triangles need, I love them and this pretty project is why. You are such a good sewist!

I love the look of a HST quilt. Yours looks great!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! Yes, such a good one for Quilts of Valor, too.
ReplyDeleteI am liking pin wheels and also a disappearing nine patch but there are so many blocks I have yet to try
ReplyDeleteI tend to gravitate towards star blocks....especially the sawtooth star block.
