Things don't always work out the way you plan

I was trying to fix something in the fish pond and I slipped. Broke my shoulder. Thankfully no surgery, just a sling.

  3. Oh, my heart hurts for you! I am 7 months out from shoulder surgery and still not back to full capacity, so I know how difficult/annoying life is going to be for you...even if you didn't have surgery. Life without one shoulder is hard. So, do take care of yourself; let someone else do it all for now.

  6. Oh my gosh, Jocelyn. I’m so sorry. I went through the same thing about a year and a half ago. No fun at all. Take good care, and heal fast.

  8. Sending positive thoughts and prayers your way, hoping you heal quickly and soon feel 100% In the meantime, please do not go playing in the fish pond (not safe).

  9. How awful! Just a sling--how brave you are. Yes, it could have been worse, but you are still in pain. Take a moment to hurt. Then you can heal. Hopefully, this will be a time with lots of great books to read and great friends to visit with you. May your neighbors bring in bountiful meals! Donna

  13. Holy Cow. I'm so sorry to hear about this break. Only a sling? You are so lucky. I think I have a wrist injury or it's arthritis or bone spur. I'm still staying away from hospitals right now. It seems like too many doctors here in CA want to cut on you. Hope you can move freely soon.

  15. Nooooooo!!! Oh Jocelyn I am so sorry to hear this, I am praying that you heal quickly. 8 weeks ago I fell on my right shoulder and it's been useless ever since, I don't think I broke anything but for certain the muscles are torn. I feel your pain girl and will be praying!
