I love your favorite one. It's from the 1800's I think. I had a kids sewing machine when I was about 7 but a friend broke it :0( Boy, was my mom angry!
It's interesting to see how sewing machines have evolved through the years. I still have my mother's sewing machine that she used to sew our clothes when we were young. I haven't sewn on it in years, but when I did it still sewed great.
I collect toy sewing machines. I have 3 now and the one you shared as your favorite is one I have tried and tried to win on eBay. No luck so far as they now go for top dollar. I am glad there are people like the sewing machine man who breathe new life into old machines. I dream one day of owning a featherweight. :-)
Heavens To Betsy! I loved this post! From the beautiful display of quilts, to the sweet ladies on the porch! Such a treat! Thank you so much for sharing!
Aren't they just the cutest.. I have seen a few but not as good as these.. Bet they were expensive??

oh my how I would love an old toy machine, had one as a child but it was given away as I got too old for it. Mom was always passing things along
ReplyDeleteOf course that one is your favorite! You're such a vintage nut! It's very unusual.
