This lady was giving a talk on old quilts that folks had brought in. She was dating them and giving a little history about each quilt.
There were ladies on the porch doing all sorts of hand work.
Dressed in Pioneer costumes.
And I can't say that I ever have been to a Quilt show where there was live Blue Grass music.
It was definitely a little different then any other quilt show I have ever been to. But it was a beautiful day to be outside and enjoy the sunshine and warm breeze.
That is so awesome. I loved the costumes, not too keen on the hair styles though, but well done.
ReplyDeleteyeah imagine bluegrass music to show off quilts.
Sounds like a great time.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I'm such a bluegrass music fan and the period costumes...what a great idea for a quilt show. Love it.
ReplyDeleteNothing like a little toe-tapping music to go along with some beautiful quilts!
ReplyDeleteWow, that looks like it was a great day. I'm very lucky to have a husband that's a bluegrass musician so I quilt by those beautiful tunes all the time.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun place to be... thanks for sharing this with us!
ReplyDeleteSeems it was a lot more informative than most quilt shows! I would have loved to hear about the old quilts, how you can tell when they were made based on the style and fabric...
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Christine
