Know when to hold them

Have you ever hung on to a piece of fabric, knowing that you are waiting for just the right project?

A while back I won these lovely 5" charm squares.

And although I tend to lean more towards traditional colors and fabric, I was smitten with these little gems. But the question was.......... what to do with them?

Then the answer came! Candace of Squash House Quilts was hosting a give away for a PDF copy of Barefoot in the Park, a Loft Creations pattern.

And I won! So there it was! The perfect pattern for these wonderfully delicious fabrics.

So on to this new and exciting project. Definitely a new venture for me.

Let's keep the needle going up and down. Have a Happy Quilting weekend!

  17. Can't wait to see what you come up with. I have a problem letting go of my fabric. I hate to use the ones I love especially because once I cut into it I no longer can dream about what I will do with it. The problem is I love all of it. Baby steps, baby steps. Maybe a little project.
    Congratulations on winning!

  18. Found you at Sew Many Ways. I need to remember not to go to that site on Sunday evenings. I read about your wonder block at 9 PM and had to run to the sewing room and push the current project off the table and try these blocks. Several of them in fact. I used charm squares instead of the big guys but even a 9 1/2 inch block in 5 minutes is very impressive. Thanks for the idea.
