He is at peace

A man I've known for over 40 years has gone home to be with the Lord on Friday morning.  My dear father in law, 95 years young, left the shackles of this life and is no longer in pain or sorrow.  He deeply missed his wife of almost 70 years when she passed away 3 years ago.  It was so sad to see him mourn the love of his life.  He was a kind, gentle, quiet man, who loved his family and his country.  He served in World War 2, and worked hard to provide for his wife and 5 children.  He enjoyed fishing and bowling, and bowled every Thursday until a stroke brought him down in late October.
He will be missed by his children, 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. But we have the blessed assurance that one day we will all be reunited together in heaven.

I've lost my father a year ago.... but I'm so thankful for the memories and the grace that he also knew our Lord and Saviour...!

  14. I am so sorry for your loss. I understand. My mom was in extreme constant pain for years. And when the Lord took her home, it was with mixed feelings but we knew she was in no more pain and worshiping our Lord like never before.
