Decisions, decisions

Yesterday we found out whether it will be pink or blue. Being first time grandparents, there are serious decisions to make.

And this one seems to be a biggie!

So what do they call you?

Strawberries and Chocolate

A goal I made with my self this year is to finish UFO's. Whether it be quilting, or binding, I'd like to finish at least one per month.

This pink and brown quilt reminds me of strawberries and chocolate draped over vanilla ice cream.

I have a bit of catching up to do, as we are on the threshold of March, but I'm purposing to have at least 12 quilts done by the end of the year!

Happy Quilting!

Quilt Week

Have you heard?  The AQS quilt show is coming to Florida!

Daytona Beach, Florida
February 24–27, 2016
Wednesday–Saturday

I am totally stoked about this! Over the years, I have been to Paducah three times, Nashville twice, and Chicago once. But to have this quilt show right in my back yard is totally beyond amazing!

If you live in the south, are you going? If you live up north, can you imagine coming to this quilt show and enjoying the sunshine and sand of Daytona Beach? I'd love to see this show supported so they will bring it back again :-)

Happy Quilting!

Planes, Trains and Automobiles Blog Hop and Giveaway

Island Batik Planes, Trains & Automobiles Blog Hop

Welcome! Today is day three of the Island Batik blog hop Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. Have you visited the other Ambassadors? There will be trips from all over. But today I am here representing the fabric line French Roasted.

You see we were each sent a fabric line to represent some area of transportation. So I took my airplane -

And my train -
and my automobile -
And we headed out to design a quilt that would travel around the world.  Well, maybe not exactly.
The pattern is called The Crooked Mile

What better way to arrive at our destination!

This line of fabric was so beautiful and the colors were perfect to make a mile that is crooked.

Island Batik fabric is really top quality. With that in mind, I am giving away a six fat quarter bundle of Sea Salt Sandy during this blog hop.

Leave a comment on this post telling me if you have ever made anything with Batiks before. I always shied away from Batiks before I became acquainted with Island Batik fabric. Other Batiks never felt quite as fine as theirs, so I've been won over after making several projects. The giveaway will be open during the whole blog hop and will close on March 4th. Because of the increasingly high cost of postage, I am limiting the giveaway to US only. Be sure I have a way of contacting you, as I will notify the winner by email.

Don't forget to stop by and visit            KISSed Quilts   Made In Scraps
They are on the blog hop today too!

Enjoy the HOP!
