It sure does seem.......

....like fall is coming. Even in the south the air is not quite so hot and the days are getting shorter. We do not enjoy the burst of color that runs like a wave a little further north, but we will enjoy the cooler evenings. I've added a little bit of fall to my blog with a new background. I found this on "Simply Blog It" Backgrounds. The soft fall leaves and blue background were such a nice c0mbination that I thought I would try it. Of course I found this through one of my favorite blogs "Freebies for Crafters". If you've never visited there before, you are missing a lot of wonderful FREE craft ideas. These girls really have found some great sites.

Last week I was in the area of another quilt shop. As I had not been there in quite a while, I thought I would stop in and visit.
Just so you don't miss the turn off.

This is the husband's porch. It overlooks a small butterfly garden. Great place for the Misters to wait for their browsing Mrs.

Hopefully you have hung with me this far, because while I was browsing in this little shop I thought that it's time to have another little giveaway. It's always so much fun to win a giveaway, and also to have a giveaway!

So my Fall giveaway is this -

I'm giving away four Fat Quarters plus 1/2 yard black striped fabric, 1/2 yard of the red black and grey floral, two spools of Essential Threads (Black and Smoke Grey), a spool of Sulky Bobbin Thread, and a roll of Seamless Quilt Binding (2 1/2" x 12 yards).

So that's it! You know the routine. Leave a comment on this post, and be sure that I have a way of contacting you, either through your blog or email. Internationals are more then welcome! I will leave this giveaway open until Saturday 10/3. Winner will be announced on Monday.

Thanks to all of you who follow my little blog. I can't tell you how many times I sit here at the computer and read your sweet comments. I have so enjoyed reading your blogs and getting to know many of you. When I started this conversation I had no idea there were so many quilting blogs out there. It has been such a joy to find a whole new way to find quilters and talk with all of you. You are all so creative, talented and generous. I've enjoyed reading and learning from each of you. I will probably never meet you face to face, but I do love to drop in and have a little visit with you.

So, again thank you and let the commenting begin :-)

I just found your blog and I can tell I'll be back often. Loved all the photos of different quilt stores and your fabric choices. Reading other blogs on quilting sure keeps me inspired and continuing on with my own projects.
Thanks so much!

What a cute name for a quilt shop...and what a great giveaway. Those fat quarter and the half-yard are colors that I REALLY need as I don't seem to find much fabric in those colors. SOOO...I'll cross my fingers and toes that I'll win. I enjoy your blog, too!

Oh goodness, I have enjoyed getting to know you too, always a pleasure to read your blog and comment. You're an unexpected blessing for sure.

Don't you just love going into quaint quilt shops...especially when you just "happen" upon one. The photo you shared is so inviting. I think this afternoon I might just "quilt til I wilt". Sounds like a plan to me...LOL

Sewing hugs and blessings,
Cindy

I love following your blog. I'm a southern girl living in the north and it is always refreshing to hear about the south and quilting.

That little quilt shop looked like so much fun. What a great idea to have a porch for the patient husbands!

Very clever of the quilt shop owners to have a Mister porch! As you know, I have been coming to your blog for a while now and I always look forward to reading your posts and seeing your pretties! Quilt Till You Wilt Lane is too funny! I love the front porch lined with rocking chairs. What a wonderful place to spend the afternoon. It is definitely turning to fall here and very fast too. My husband has been getting more vocal as he's cursing the leaves that have fallen on the ground. LOL

I always enjoy reading your blog and receiving your comments on mine. When I started my blog, I had no idea there were so many people who followed sewing/quilting/cooking blogs. And the online friendships I've made have been amazing. Thanks!

It is always fun to pop in on your blog...giveaway or not! But today...a bonus. How many times have I sat quilting till I wilt? Love it and the rockers....screams my name.

Love the new background and that sign, what a hoot that is. Looks like a really nice shop, thanks for sharing that.

Just clicked the link for the backgrounds and said it was a broken link but it did give me the right one.

I love that the quilt store has a husband's porch. Love the name! We are in the process of fall here as well. Today was 77 degrees, tomorrow it is supposed to be low 50's. My rheumatoid hates huge temperature drops. No use complaining as there is nothing I can do about it. Thanks for sharing the free craft site. I love that people are so willing to share their amazing talents with us.
Have a great day!

Just love that wonderful quilt shop. I think the elements in my corner of the world have forgotten it will soon be summer - still wrapped in winter cold here. I love it though, summer gets way to hot. I enjoy visiting your blog very much - we can all pretend to be sharing whatever flavour latte we prefer :0).

What wonderful quilt shop to have an inviting place for our long suffering hubbys LOL. Jocelyn, do not include me in the giveaway. I wouldn't have use for some of the gifties so they should go to someone who will use it all :0)

I love the new background! I'm too chicken to change mine, lol. I'd like to go to that shop - I love the name! A Mister porch, how funny is that.
I have the same thoughts you do about blogging. For so long I enjoyed reading them, but felt kind of left out - so I jumped in and started, and have made so many wonderful friends, and even got to meet a couple in person. Quilters are just awesome in general!
