Mini Quilt show

Here are a few more the quilts from the local quilt show.  There was quite a diverse selection displayed of traditional, modern and just plain fun quilts.

Isn't this amazing?  So many dressed up cats :-)

My favorite was the quilter.

This was such an elegant piece.

I had to show you the detail on this peacock.

 Some modern quilts.

I was stunned to know that this next quilt was made with ties.

We met the lady who made this quilt.  She started making it a year ago, using her husbands ties.  In April of last year, her husband died suddenly.  So this quilt has become a tribute to him.

The quilting was beautiful.

I hope you enjoyed the mini quilt show.

Fantastic! I have been saving men's ties for over 20 years, hoping to make a crazy quilt out of them. Eventually!?!

Thanks for sharing these quilts!
It's cold and raining now for the 3rd day in a row and these are the perfect prescription for my case of 'spring Fever'.

Love all Quilt Shows, wish I could go to all of them, Thank you for sharing!
I also scrolled down to your Potato Soup post and I am a big fan of Potato Soup. but have never tried it with chicken cubes,I will next time I make it but only half. I usually put cream cheese or sour cream in mine and it makes it so creamy !

Oh this was so much fun! And that tie quilt is unreal! And the story behind it is so sad but don't you know that she is glad to have it. Wow.

I must say that my favourite ones are the cats. The others are lovely too but I just have a cat thing. Thanks for sharing with us.

I wonder how long some of those quilts took to make. They are all fantastic, and like you, I really loved the Quilter cat.

You managed to get to the show...it was a great local show. I really liked the cat quilt too, my favorite was the pirate cat. I met the quilter who made the log cabin from her husbands ties, she was an inspiration to talk to.
