I still have some samples to make for a trade show in July, but then, I'm determined to finish a baby blanket for a sweet friend of Kelly's, who just had a baby girl. I love cotton wash cloths and I can't believe you're a beginner--this one is so detailed with the edging! XOXO
I love knitting dishcloths while watching TV. I choose simple patterns and find that casting on 30 stitches will give me 3 dishcloths from one small ball of Sugar and Cream yarn. I love the way they feel in my hand when I'm washing dishes. I read your blog often. Keep up the good work.

Looks like you are off to a great start! Dishcloths are a good project to learn new stitches on!
I have been knitting for a couple of years. It is a HUGE learning curve, but I LOVE IT!!! You Tube will be your BEST friend as you learn to knit. Then check out Ravelry...oh my!!!
My mother used that knitting pattern with a middle weight varigated yarn and increased the size to make baby afghans for her grandchildren. They are the softest afghans I have ever seen and the kids still love them!

I love knitting dish cloths. I have used them for learning a new technique or stitch knowing that if I don't like it, or it looks awful, it won't really matter too much. Had some oddball ones I gave to my son when he set up bachelor quarters.
I love the look of your dishcloth and I also love knitting dishcloths it's the only thing I knit besides scarves or simple plain stitch baby blankets which to me take forever as I'm soooo slow!. I'm still working on my crocheted blanket and dozens of other projects as well just not enough time in each day to do more lol :) Barb.

I love these dishcloths . My mom would make them for me. I miss having them to use. Great project.
Believe it or not, you now have the skills to make a basic, top down shawl. All that is involved is the yarn over increase, knitting a pearling. Have fun with your knitting.
How pretty is that! I use my crocheted ones all the time, one of these days I'll get more yarn and give knitting another try!
I love these type of dishcloths! I've been crocheting up a storm here lately...making bracelets mostly! I like to knit and crochet. Sweet hugs!
