I recently found out a friend had surgery, so I thought I would make up a little lap quilt for her. I wanted to use fabric from my stash, but was not really sure what colors she has in her home. So having just made a black and white quilt, there was plenty left over to make this second quilt.
Tell me what you think? Does it read too busy?? Is it neutral enough?
The borders are a solid color but with a white on white and black on black design in the fabric.
I've got two quilts to finish for next week. So my machine is going to be buzzing :-)

The prints you have chosen give the quilt a lovely gentle black and white interpretation - it looks divine!
Love it!
It's fabulous! :0)
Well having got home about 1hr ago from surgery yesterday I can give you the answer, she'll love it!! It's beautiful and very thoughtful of you. If she's like me she's in for serious rest time so what better to snuggle under.

It's very pretty. I did a similar one except I appliqued 3 big hot pink flowers in the lower left corner and then used the hot pink as the inner border as well. Mine went to one of hubby's co-worker's new baby.
This is a wonderful gift for your friend-- I'm sure she will love and appreciate it very much. I really love the black and white fabrics :)
