It's so tempting..........

I always want to start something new.  A new quilt, a new project, something to use these pretty fabrics.  But this morning I read on a blog (sorry I don't remember which one) that a gal had over 100 ufo's that needed quilting!!  Wow!  I know I don't have that many, but I have a few...........

So my plan is to quilt some of these ufo's before starting on any other new quilt.  This fall one is a great start!

How many do you have??

Oh and btw, can someone please send the memo to JoAnn's to NOT send me any more 50% off coupons?  They have suckered me down there once too often, only to find that nearly everything (like 98%) is on sale.  So what is the purpose of the coupons??  Sorry, I'm not wasting my gas anymore.

Good for you getting some UFOs quilted! I agree about Joanne's...the coupons it seems are just to get you in the door. :0/

I throw the coupons away now--saves me from buying things I don't need by keeping me out of the store. Usually not good on anything I need anyway. And I may have 100 UFO's. Definitely more than 50. And started another one today. I can't seem to help myself. Sad but true! :)

No UFOs for me. I can't stand the thought of not finishing something I started. If I had a lot of UFOs I would promise myself I would finish 4 or 5 of them before I start a new project. Then I'd finish the new project and go back to the UFOs. Rinse and repeat. LOL

Oh my, if I was as talented for quilting like you, I'd be quilting for Winter too...and maybe UFO's too! I love the different materials you always choose. Thank you for your sweet and kind comment. Big hugs,

I would be afraid to count my UFOs; it all started because I was incapable of beginning to FMQ. But I love piecing! So now I have taken the classes and still have not found the time to practice enough to make the work good enough.

I have about a dozen UFO's... and I sometimes loose sleep feeling guilty about them!
I'm not a coupon user either... I try my best to walk into a store ONLY when I need something... the exception being Quilt Shops... I always NEED something from them!

Yep, at least 100. Then I got a longarm. Didn't make much difference. Quilt comfort quilts for charity now and Some of mine. But I start another as often as I finish one so I don't get ahead. But I don't care. There are worse things I could do with my time and money.

Oh I am SOOOO with you on the Joanns thing...all those coupons, you always feel like you have to use them up! Argh!!

My UFO's are split between two houses. I can't count them all. (wink, wink)

I was hoping to use my 50% off coupon on some batting for hot pads/table runners, but it was $1 off/yard. Fabric I wanted to cover my dining room chairs didn't have enough yardage on the bolt. Couldn't find anything to use my 50% off coupon on this time. I think I spend more in gas to go to my JoAnns than the 50% off coupon saves me, assuming I can find something. Still, my favorite is using it for a quilting book or dvd, when I can find a good one available. Still, I know I'm addicted to these coupons and already looking forward to the next 50% off coupon.

I have been slowly working through a box of my UFO's this month. It has been sort of fun and makes you feel good to finally finish a project. I get coupons for Michaels all the time but can never find anything I want that is not on sale so I don't bother going anymore.

I challenged myself in 2012 and 2013 - 1 UFO a month. Some months I've done more but always at least one. So far so good. Of course this year 1or2 were UFO's started last year. It will never end but they are getting done.
