Sinta from Pink Pincushion had a Blast from the Past, blog posts from years gone by. She was giving away aprons from her own collection and she picked my name from the entries.
Then I had the privilege to win a SewMamaSew giveaway from Kim Place (Dream Stitch Designs). She sent me a fat quarter bundle
How cool is that? I can see making a table runner with these great fabrics.
And lastly, this is not a win, but a purchase. I have always loved Connecting Threads variegated threads. When they no longer carried them, I asked and asked and asked. Well, low and behold, they are now carrying the threads again, and of course I needed to order a selection to have on hand ;-)
These are such fun threads.
Finally, last night I was drawn to my sewing machine and just started doing some strip piecing.
It felt good to fire up the sweet Bernina.
Happy Quilting!

I fired up my Bernina this morning, too. Feels good, doesn't it?
I would say that you deserve some treats with all of that going on! All good things... but I am sure you are beyond busy! Nice that you were able to sew a little bit! I think it's fun that you won the magazine with the apron pattern (and fabric)too!
What fun wins! And, I just love that thread - I'm going to have to do some shopping :)! So glad you got to sneak in some sewing time amidst the exciting times for your boys! Love your new camper, too - how very fun! Hugs!!
I love your presents!!!
My daughter was married over Easter weekend and I know how it is to be so busy with wedding plans. Now that the wedding is over I am able to sew. I really missed sewing and have a quilt that's calling my name.
I am so happy for your Son and bride to be. How wonderful!!! Also a big high five to your collage grad!
Have a sweet day, Elizabeth

good wins you have here, like you I like variegated threads, they give an added dimension to a piece of work. Strip piecing is the right way to go, keep stripping!
