You know, sometimes there are hidden gems that we miss even when we walk right past them. Case in point. I was at my local library recently and visited their book store. As I exited the store my eye caught sight of something that drew my attention. Can you guess what it was? If you guessed a quilt, you are right. Now I know many libraries have quilts hanging, sometimes made by a guild for some specific reason. What caught my attention was not just one giant quilt on display, but a whole hallway lined with quilts. Here are a few of them.
Can you believe these little gems were hidden away down some obscure hallway? If I had not noticed the first one, I would have missed the rest. As this is picture heavy, I will post the rest tomorrow.
Happy Quilting!

Wow, there's more? Fantastic! They really should either put them somewhere where more will be sure to see them or have some signage ... I can't help but think that even non-quilters would love to see these.
very pretty - they should put a sign up or something so people would walk that way to view the quilts.
I love seeing quilts at libraries (and other places, too). I've posted pictures of 2 different quilts I've found at different libraries.
Wow - is this a special display for some event? Or are these permanent residents of the Library??
Love them all, but the owl is extraordinary. Thanks for sharing them.
Hugs
Nice surprise quilt show.
what a lovely collection, such a shame they are hidden. At our library they have a big collection of tapestries like yours hidden in a corridor that is rarely used.
