Cookies to quilt by

Doesn't everybody love a yummy cookie? Well, I found one that rivals the cookies you see at the mall. Big, delicious, Chocolate Chip cookies.

A friend brought these cookies one night when we were hosting a small dinner. Boy were they a hit! I couldn't let her get away without sharing the recipe. So now I am sharing it with you!

Chewy Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookies

4 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups softened butter
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 1/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 Tablespoon vanilla
2 cups (12 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, combine softened butter, sugar, brown sugar. Beat till creamy.
add eggs and vanilla. Continue beating until well mixed.

Reduce speed to low and gradually add dry mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.

Drop dough by 1/4 cupfuls, 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake at 375 degrees for 10-14 minutes or until light golden brown.

There is only one problem I have found with these cookies....
You can't eat just one!
