On a Coastal Breeze

On a Coastal Breeze by Suzanne Woods Fisher picks up where On a Summer Tide leaves off.

Three Sisters Island and the Grayson family are at the center of this novel. Maddie Grayson has hung her counseling shingle in the basement of the church office. When the new pastor parachutes in, Maddie is shocked to see it is the one person she hoped to never see again.  Ricky O'Shea, who taunted and tormented Maddie through out her young life.

There is a lot going on in this book. Not only is Maddie battling her own fears, but with the return of Rick, old anger and hurts fill her thoughts. Rick on the other hand, has apparently changed. Wanting to make restitution for his wrong doings of the past, but can Maddie move past her anger and trust Rick to have really changed?

There are a lot of emotions that come into play with the story of the Grayson sisters. Maddie seeming the more sensitive sister, brings out the many facets of feelings between her sisters Cam and Blaine. Learning from their many mistakes and moving forward. The story was well written, characters full and well developed.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher. All views expressed are my honest opinion.
