Summerville is the place to be

Someone suggested we go to the quilt shop in Summerville, but it was 30 minutes away from where we were staying in Charleston.  My hubby decided we should go, and I am so glad we did.

This very unassuming shop took me by surprise. I actually told me hubby to wait in the car. "I won't be long" I said.  Two minutes later I came back out and told him to park the car and come in. "I am going to be here a while."

This sweet shop had everything.
It was a long narrow shop with lots of rooms filled with inspiration.

People, Places and Quits was as charming as it sounds. The owner was just a dear and was so fun to talk with. She has owned the shop for 36 years. The building was originally a hardware store. And through the years she has expanded the shop. You would be so delighted to find yourself there.

A Charleston quilt with Charleston fabric.

If you are ever near this area, you must make a trip and visit.

What a fun shop. I am inspired by the quilt with the words "Never postpone joy". So true!

Thank you for the 'tour' of the quilt shop. I haven't been to one in ages, and it was almost like being there. We used to live in Salem, Oregon, and just on the other side of the river was the BEST quilt shop, full of fabrics and lovely ideas - and they always had the 'oldies' from the 40's & 50's playing in the background. I truly miss going there. Seeing everything in my pictures brought back many happy memories for me - thank you! Deb in California.

My son and his family live near there, and I have been several times. I agree, they are the sweetest people, and I want to make all the quilts in their displays. I'm sure your husband was more comfortable in their "living room" than the car!!!
