I Love Civil War fabrics

I LOVE Civil War fabrics and patterns and have been slowly collecting CW fabrics to make a Bonnie Blue quilt.

Faithful Quilter: Elaine's Journey had a giveaway. It was a Civil War Giveaway Box. When I left a comment on Elaine's blog, I was the first to comment. To my very pleasant surprise, I won her giveaway.

But what was even more exciting was the box that came in the mail today! I guess I was not really expecting a very large box, but whoa, I was so surprised when my mailman brought my mail to the door.

And when I opened the box...........

.... there was this lovely book!!!

..... and these beautifully wrapped packages........

Here they are laying out on the table. It almost feels like my birthday :-)

I was truly blown away when I opened the packages. What an incredible prize!!

Can you believe these beautiful fabrics?

And the book has so many beautiful patterns, including one for a journal and needlecase.

And speaking of needlecase, look at this adorable kit.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Elaine. You are a most generous quilter.

Thanks everyone for helping me open my Civil War birthday gifts ;-)
