It's a mystery to me

Do you ever feel that a new project will generate feelings of accomplishment? I've had a hard time following through with Blocks of the Month projects. This year I am planning to work on the BOM Mystery quilt that Cathy from Quilting on Turtle Hill generously sent to me.

I LOVE the fabrics, and having them somewhat pre-cut may be good motivation for me.

And tonight my quilting buddies and I visited a guild and heard Sue Nickels give a little presentation.

She is an amazing machine quilter. And yes her words of wisdom were practice, practice, practice :-)

Hope everyone is staying warm, and quilting, quilting, quilting.

One block at a time and before you know it you'll be done. :-)

Yep, I have trouble with following through on BOM's too. Love the fabric in this one. Isn't that the mantra for all quilting...practice practice practice LOL

I always promise myself that I will do one block a month, after all how hard can that be? That is why I am now working on a 2008 Block of the Month from Bunny Hill....Good luck to you- the colours are lovely, and I look forward to seeing your progress.

Great colors! I usually don't finish BOM's on time, the last couple months get away from me, but I do get 'em done. ;-)

Hmmm, whoever is speaking, or whichever book I read I can't seem to get away from the "practice, practice, practice" advice for FMQ. There must be another way, surely there's a pill I can take or something

I love visiting your site! Reminds me of times spent watching my grandmother quilt. Lovely colors and patterns everywhere. Since I found you, I've been itching to start sewing again. A legacy my sweet grandmother passed down to me. Just wanted to pop in to say hello..and to let you know how much I enjoy your place. I visit often, but don't always comment. Tonight I just felt the urge to merge..ya know what I mean? Blessings, joy and sunshine, Terri

I am curious about the Mystery quilt blocks....do you just find one to join, or do you have to be invited?

The mystery quilt has lovely colors and I know you'll get it finished soon! Have you chosen your fabrics for the next Schnibbles?

I have taken two classes form Sue of the years. She is one of my most favorite teachers and quilters! I know you enjoyed your time with her!
Love your blocks too!
