Sew and Tell

For Christmas this year, my sweet children chipped in and bought me a new camera. It is smaller then my old Sony digital, which is great for carrying in your pocket or purse.

It has a nice large screen to preview my pictures (the Sony screen was about 1" x 1 1/2"). So I thought I'd need some kind of protection when this little camera is rummaging around in my purse.

I've never made anything like this before, so I set out with no plan in mind. But little by little I made some progress. Even though there were a few hic-ups and the seam ripper made a magnificent appearance, I ended up with a useful little bag to carry the camera.

I'd like to thank Alice Grace for sending me this lovely fabric. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it.

Please hop over to amylouwho's Sew and Tell. It's always so much fun to see what everyone has been working on :-)

Happy Quilting!

Perfect for your Canon. It doesn't get more precise as to fit than that.

Very nice bag! I got my small digital camera 3 years ago, and I'm about ready for a new one. But in the meantime, maybe I'll make a nice little bag for the one I have.

Love your camera case. It will really protect it if you stick it in your purse or a bag.

I have bags for my little camera & I seem to leave it out & now it's getting scratched.Perhaps if I made a pretty bag it would help!
The postage stamp quilt along is tempting but so I really want to begin another project? Hmmmmmm I will have to think about it!

I just came on over here from Pat's blog. Don't know why I haven't been here sooner. Beautiful blog, and I had to chuckle over you taking a picture of your camera!!! Mine is broken, so I'll probably do the same, if and when I get a new one.

What a great camera case. I'm on the hunt soon for a new camera. Somehow doing it in the winter when it's cold outside hasn't motivated me yet to even go look.
