Well what can I say. I love quilt books. They inspire me. It's fun to look at the different quilt books by different authors. There are books that I want, and some that I just have to have.
So when a quilting book comes along, one that I have been wanting, but just have never gotten around to obtaining, you just jump at the opportunity. Right? RIGHT??
So I am at JoAnn's the other day. And of course I need to take a look at the quilting books. There just might be something new to look at. So I spy these little red tags on some of the displays. Red tags, like clearance SALE tags.
Of course all of the books that are labeled to be clearance are already gone. So I do a search. See this is where my thrifting skills come into play. I start down the rows. Nothing. Keep looking. Still nothing. But wait! On the very bottom row, behind another title................ whoa................. Miss Rosie is peeking out at me.
You know who Miss Rosie is, right?? I'm just asking because I've asked at a couple of quilt shops lately and they look at me like I am from another planet. Yes, Carrie's Miss Rosie. And it has a red tag!!
YES!!! I am a Schnibbleholic, and ever since I've been making the little Schnibbles quilts I've been eyeing this quilt book.
Look at this one. Six Degrees.......... sigh................ So pretty.
Well this is not the end of the clearance story. Because as I am searching through the racks, I find this one.
Can't pass this one up.
And oops, one more, hiding again behind another book.
I very rarely find good quilt books on clearance. I was very happy to find these little gems. So now taking in all the inspiration and planning, planning, planning :-)
Happy, happy quilting!

Always great when you can find some great buys. That is the way to search. Have fun making some new quilts.
I wonder if someone tried to hide those books with the intention of coming back LOL. Hey, you snooze you loose. I wonder what quilt you will be working on next????
Crispy
Great buys! Enjoy all three books.
Oh how fun! Great new books! :-)
Miss Rosie is one of my favorites, maybe because I have a golden retriever...I am currently working on a Schnibbles and a full size patttern called Stella Blue. Enjoy your new books!
What is wrong with my Joannes? Now I am going to have to make a special "quilt book trip."
Don't feel bad for me. (giggle)
ROFL - I do the same thing! Good for you on getting some great books!
I have Rosie's books :-) Rosie's picture was what first pulled me in. Then I loved the quilts. Those goldens have a strong pull on my heart. Enjoy!
What great finds! I wanted to let you know that I voted for your friend. I haven't been reading any blogs this past week, so I'm a little behind. I hope I can catch up over the next few days.
Oh, you lucky girl!! I may have to check out the Joann's near me. A girl can hope.. :)

Those books look GREAT!!!! I can't wait to see the projects you are going to make from those books!
Blessings.
I have Little Quilts All Through the House and I love it. It's filled with charming ideas and good advice.
I am like that with cross stitch books - have heaps, want more, and can't resist bargains. My problem now is that I am becoming interested in patchwork and 'have to have' as many of those as I can find too! Looks like a new bookcase will be on the shopping list soon..
