Drive by shooting

On our recent trip, I saw something I've never seen before.

I had my camera at the ready, as we were driving past these farms. I was so excited when I saw the first one on the barn, but my hubby did not slow down much, so I had to do a drive by shooting :-)

I got really tickled when my hubby said -
"I bet that lady really appreciated her husband painting that quilt for her."

WHAT!! I laughed so hard. Yeh, right, maybe he held the ladder.

That's okay, he doesn't know much about quilting, but he sure knows how to bless his wife. He bought me a Bernina for Christmas 7 years ago, no promptings, just went out and bought it ;-)

He also bought me this little jewel.

Yep, he's a keeper.

Hope you are having a great quilting day!

WOW!...these photo's are fun, and I'm excited to see such beauty, painted on these buildings, this is so ironic,I told the hubs I wanted to paint on the tractor shelter, only thing is I can't paint, hehe.
But I think I'll try anyway, this looks amazing!

I love that many areas now have "Quilt Trails" with beautiful displays on barns and outbuildings! I would love to do it around here, too!
What wonderful choices he makes for your gifts! Nice!

Got a chuckle from your post. Your hubby thought that the men got up there and painted those quilts and yet he wouldn't even slow down??? LOL! Okay, then. Where were these great barns??

My friend has a barn and one of these days I'll ask to paint a block there. it won';t be seen from the road, but it will be nice for her.

This is so funny to me because that is exactly the way sweet hunter is. I see something, have camera ready, point, and take it while driving by. Then he says, Oh did you want me to stop?? Duh...... I feel your pain! Love the barns!!! But you are right, they are keepers! Your featherweight looks just like mine!!!

Sometimes they make you smile, don't they? I love my sweetie, too, but I'm always glad to hear even the best ones have those quirks ~
