I've been sewing and quilting, trying to get the UFO's finished up to send to
Japan. I've felt like I have been speeding along.
And for the first time I used the binding I bought at JoAnn's last year.
What a time saver this has been. I do not have an AccuQuiltGO! cutter to cut binding, plus I did not have to press them. Just opened the package, and sewed it down.
Hopefully I can get three little quilts finished and in the mail.
I also thought I would write a few words on the quilt.
It seems like such a little thing to do, but it's a way to show that we care.
I hope you are able to lend a hand too.
Happy Quilting :-)

What a kind soul you have! The lucky people who get your quilt will love it, I'm sure.
I too don't have the newest gadgets...AccQuiltGo, or any of those newer fun things. I just (at this time anyway) can't justify the investment! However, if I knew more about them...saw them demonstrated or whatever, I might be more inclined to ask for one for Christmas or birthday.
It's a great idea to use pre-packaged binding so that you can zip those quilts into the mail and very kind of you to do so, too. What address do you have as a contact in Japan for distribution? Would it be possible to share it?
Bless your heart for thinking of Japan....and great use for those unfinished projects!
Wonderful for your to contribute! The GO does cut great strips, perfect for bindings..and I love mine!
Beautiful quilt! How sweet of you to make it. And I didn't even know they had pre-packaged binding. I'll have to check that out.
PERFECT! God Bless You.
What a great idea to add those words to the quilt... with all that has happened in Japan... and the long days ahead... I'm sure those three words will comfort and inspire!
Love the quilt and love what you're doing!
Bless you, this is darling - I love how you added the words!!! Kinda nice using binding you didn't have to make, isn't it? *G*
I think the words you added make the quilts even sweeter. Lovely work, and a great cause! Thanks for slowing down a little and showing us what you've been up to!

One day I hope that I will be as experienced so I can give a gift of love like you are. I am amazed at quilters like you.
Fantastic....I know they will be very much appreciated...its just so sad with all the natural disasters hitting all around the world.

What a precious gift you are making...and I'm sure that as you sew it you're praying for the people of Japan and whoever will receive it. You're such a sweetie, Mrs. P!
The words bring life to your quilt! I do like the prepackaged binding you used. What a huge timesaver! Don't you just love your Bernina.. I do mine. Your quilting is lovely.
Awesome! God bless you for sharing the love and kindness as you do. :)
HOw very generous of you. It is a sad situation but I am sure with all the people helping it will make them feel loved.
Open the package and get to work sounds good to me.
Jocelyn, this is a beautiful quilt, lovely binding, with wonderful quilting. Love the quilted words. This will definitely warm the heart and body of the recipient.
Thank you for making a difference.
