Suggestions please

I have a nice stack of HST's that were cut from another project. Too many to just throw away ;-) Remember when I made this little quilt?

I like the way the red and black went together, but the green has me stumped. I think I would like to use more than just green and white. Any color ideas? Patterns??

And I was wondering if any of you are having trouble with your google reader? I follow quite a few blogs on the reader, but I have noticed lately that they don't all seem to be coming through. Some days I might be blog hopping and find a post that I never read. It also appears that some of the blogs I follow regularly are missing. You know, like I was signed up already, but now it's missing from my reader. Any thoughts? Blogger seems to be going through some changes, but no one has mentioned anything about the Reader.

Have a great quilty day!

I have problems with google reader too..I know a few that I've signed up to follow multiple times that never come up. I'll be anxious to see if anyone has a solution.

I do love that mini. Wish I had ideas for your current triangle collection. I'm sure you'll create something beautiful.

When I've had problems with Google/Reader I've tried a few tricks. 1) unfollow the blog and then follow it again. and 2) signout of google/reader and then sign back in. Sometimes these steps help and sometimes they don't. Still a mystery to me on why these things happen.

I would put pink with the green

Hi there, Love the green-I would probably go with something that would contrast nicely-either tan or something in a cranberry shade.
As for google reader-yes I have problems but just keep checking back. I've heard alot of people are having the same issue. I do have other problems with layout and design.
Have a delightful week.

Someone mentioned somewhere that white goes with anything...you could add it by itself or include it with another color mentioned, along with the original HSTs, of course....

How about an hourglass block? Green and white? Very St. Patty's Day!

The triangles look teal on my end but I think pink would look great with them and you could make some pinwheels.

My blogger is messed up too. It does not give me a full list of all the new posts. Kind of weird.
I think they green would look great with Khaki or if it is the right shade of green (hard to tell in the picture)how about an ORANGE?

In my opinion, which doesn't count for much, green goes perfectly with purple and yellow. I would definitely use those colors. Green and white work well, too, though. I've never read blogs with reader. tell me about it.

A nice, deep purple or a vibrant pink is what I would use with those.
If you follow a lot of blogs, you start losing feeds. Sometimes signing into the blog with GFC helps get the feed back in your reader, sometimes it doesn't. You're less likely to loose blogs you click over to regularly. Sad to say, I know of no solution to the feed problem except follow less blogs, and that's a horrible solution :(

What is a HST? I keep seeing that and I can't figure it out.
Stumped.

I've also noticed that I don't get all the new posts in my Google reader. But I do get all that I have time for, so I guess it works out. :)

I know that you can only sign up to follow a maximum number of blogs (I think it's around 2000, but I could be wrong), could that be your problem? Your list does not look so long, but I did not know if you followed some blogs anonymously. I have to go and take a look at my blog list and see if I am getting all the posts. I just always assumed I was. Good luck!

I like the color - on my monitor it looks like a dark, rich teal. Maybe put two colors with it? I was envisioning tan and cranberry. Maybe that's a little too wacky!

I think green would go great with fall colors. :)

No great suggestions for the green other than just putting them up to your stash and see what looks good. I haven't noticed any of my blogs missing.

I have tons of those, too, and have been thinking about what to do with them. I love the broken dishes block for one. I'll look forward to other ideas!

Perhaps you could work backwards:) Find a border fabric that goes with your green then find another color in the border to highlight. My first thought was a tone on tone black with some sort of texture.

How about orange and a light tan?

Hmmmm... perhaps a tan print for a fall-ish sort of quilt?
