March Madness and Giveaway

Are you a basketball fan??  I've never been one to watch much sports, but March Madness is upon us, and my sweet hubby's team is in the running.  Yes, he's a Gator fan, so watch out for those choppers.

For me, I'd rather be sewing or quilting. This is the closest thing I've ever come to cheering his team.

I made these for a friends daughter who attended the University of Florida.  Handy to carry around when you are in the bleachers.

But for today I thought I would have a little giveaway.  I found these very cute owl fat quarters and wanted to share them with one you!

I couldn't resist the little wide eyed note pad.  And there is a one yard cut of coordinating fabric to go along with the little hooters.

Leave a comment on this post, telling me if you have a favorite basketball team.  And if you have ever been to one of their games.  I'd love to hear about it.  The most fun I ever experienced was attending a Harlem Globetrotters game years ago.  Wow. they were amazing, and so fun to watch.

If you are a follower of my blog, leave a second comment letting me know how you follow.  You can also find me on Instagram :-)  Just type in happycottagequilter and it should pop right up.  The giveaway will be open until Sunday March 23rd.  Oh and be sure I have a way to contact you.  A no-reply comment does not qualify.

Have a great day, and Happy Quilting!

Oh how fun! Love the owls! I am just like you! Not much in to sports but I will tell you this. If the score is tied or very close, I like to watch any of them. Other than that. No.

No basketball fan here, though one of the local teams is the #5 seed I think. They have been talking about it on tv for days now, you would think I would remember! :)

I too went to a Harlem Globetrotters game when I was growing up and it really was fun!

I was an Arizona Diamondbacks fan during the years they were in their huge World Series run in 2001~ We had so much fun! We went to the huge stadium in Phoenix many times for games! My favorite memory was a Mother's Day game and all the kids and Mother's got to run the bases after the game...our girls especially loved that! I would have loved your kleenex holder then!

Those owls are adorable!

I'm not a basketball fan, although if I "have" to watch basketball, I prefer college over professional. And if I "have" to choose a favorite basketball team, I'd choose University of Illinois. I've been to a couple of their games, although I also attended a St. Louis Hawks (NBA) game when I was growing up as well as a Harlem Globetrotters game, too.

I'm a fan of the St. Louis baseball (Cardinals) and hockey (Blues) teams, though so my attention will given to their games rather than the March Madness games. ;-)

I'm not one for national league anything. Except the super bowl... But that's only because I love a reason to throw a party! But high school sports?

I was in flags when I was in HS and I just love the fun memories high school games invoke of hot cocoa, popcorn, blankets on the bleachers, the snap of the flags in the cold winter air and the reverberation of the drum line in my chest....

your tissue covers are great. I made some with rick rack by the opening, they turned out so cute. the little owls are adorable. thanks for a chance. I used to sit with my husband while he watched the BULLS from Chicago. But I would be doing count cross stitch at the time. Now he doesn't watch so neither do I.

Love the wide-eyed owls. I downloaded a lot of them as patterns, a calendar, quilts, and counted cross stitch. My favorite basketball team Is the Ohio State Buckeyes. I also have seen a Harlem Globetrotters game and they are amazing and funny to watch. I'd love to win the Big-eyed owl fabric. Thanks so much. I follow you by e-mail and GFC. katztoo@excede.net

Love the Owls, too!! Living in Utah of course I am a Jazz fan, but hardly ever watch them anymore. I would rather be sewing. I, too, went to see the Globetrotters a long time ago, but really enjoyed it. Years ago I used to watch more sports but the older I get the less I enjoy them. I like watching my grandkids play whatever they are playing.

Haven't really been a basketball fan since high school lo these many years ago, but if I had to choose, would say the University of Nebraska women's team. Have not seen them play, tho. Can't hardly live in Nebraska without becoming a Husker fan. Right now, tho, follow track as my nephew is a true freshman at UN-L and his 4-400 relay team just finished 2nd in the NCAA indoor track championships.

Hi. I used to be a big Phoenix Suns fan. Went to one of their games and sat far up in the stands. We learned from that experience that watching the games on TV was much better! Thanks for the chance to win the adorable owl fabric.
