Pass it on

The same friend who helped me with the chair re-do, gave me an awesome gift for my birthday.  Not only was she able to spend time with me to help me celebrate, she made this beautiful quilt!

I wish you could see the quilting she did using her domestic sewing machine.  We laugh because I taught her how to quilt and she has far surpassed me in machine quilting.  She in turn has taught one of her friends who an amazing applique quilter.  My advice to you, keep passing it on :-)

Happy Quilting!

What a gorgeous quilt! Good advice ... if we keep on passing on the love of quilting, future generations will be blessed!

Full circle. I learned how to quilt from a class at church 13 years ago. Now I'm teaching a class at my church, here. I sure hope at least one of the ladies 'passes' me with her skills. Great quilt she made you. The chair turned out nice, too.

"Happy Cottage Quilter" has been included in the A Sunday Drive for this week. Be assured that I hope this helps to point even more new visitors in your direction.

Beautiful colours in your new quilt. Mentoring is something I appreciate.
