I live in a small town but they have a huge 4th of July parade, rodeo and they cap off the evening with an hour long fireworks display. The best thing about it is that I can watch the fireworks from my back deck.

Our tradition is to go watch the city fireworks on the evening of the 4th. What we do during the rest of the day depends on the availability of family and friends.

We had a July 4th open house party on Saturday. I love July 4th parades, so we're going to the parade in the a.m. and fireworks in the p.m.

4th of july = picnic!!!
We can see the fireworks from our front porch, so my girlfriend will bring her family, after they leave we go across the street, to the riverfront neighbors who are having huge partys' and say Hi, to the people we know.
We will have a relatively quiet 4th of July...maybe a small cookout and a card game with our friends...one of the days over the weekend we will be with family...I plan on doig some hand stitching, too---one of my favorite things...thanks for the opportunity to win! clinhart440@comcast.net

We're going to celebrate the 4th by having our children and grandchildren over and having an Ice Cream Sundae Bar with homemade ice cream and all the toppings. Then when it gets dark, we will set off fireworks.

We won't do anything too exciting but will sit on our patio and watch the fireworks.
Tomorrow the 1st July we will celebrate Canada Day (aka DOminion Day). On 4th July I will be preparing for my youngest grandson Bowen and his parents to arrive the next day for a visit for a few days. Can't wait.
The fabrics are great and I love batiks and the feel of them too.

here in the UK we will be getting ready for the start of the tour de france on the 6th that I will be able to watch as it is all happening in Leeds, also off to see the quilting exhibition in Harrogate on 4th the theme being wheels, I have a batik cushion in it

I love to make potato salad for the 4th of July. It just seems so summery. Had to make it a few days early as we're expecting our first Tropical Storm, possibly upgraded to a Hurricane and I'm afraid I'll be w/out power!
