On the road again

It's been a little quiet on my blog for the last couple of weeks.  This is partly the reason why.

Yep, I was traveling with my hubby.  We made a trip to the beautiful state of New Jersey. It's amazing to me how parts of the USA can be so diverse and so the same. We passed by Washington DC, being captured up in a wave of traffic when we missed our exit. Whew, that just added to the adventure. We pulled over, looked at the map and realized we were sitting right outside of Arlington National Cemetery. We passed the Pentagon, the Washington monument and I think the Jefferson memorial too. It was all a bit of a haze as we were trying to maneuver around the mad traffic, looking at maps, GPS and of course road work.

Then when we arrived home we discovered that our internet was down. So today I am trying sometime new. Posting from my laptop and the picture from my phone.  Woo-hoo, I might yet make it into the computer age.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope to be back online soon.  But until then,

Happy Quilting!

I'm glad you made it home safely. While I would love to visit DC, I can't imagine driving around in the heavy traffic (not to mention pulling a mobile home). Hope you had loads of fun on your adventure. From what I could tell, sounded like a blast.

Sounds like a nice trip, in spite of missing your exit. We drove past DC a couple of years ago (not nearly as close as you were, though). We talked about returning some day to visit the sights. Good luck on getting your internet back.

Oh, that Airstream brings back so many good memories!! Mom and Dad rolled in their Airstream for years... those things are tanks and so nice!! Somedays I fancy finding an old one to redo... then I remember that Evan and I would KILL each other over the pulling of it! Ha!!! Roll on and have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend, Jocelyn! blessings ~ tanna

I wish I'd known you were in New Jersey. Millicent (Singer 128 hand crank) and I would have come wave to you as you roll down the highway. Glad you enjoyed your trip. I hope that some day soon you're able to stop in DC, it is SO worth it.
