So what would you do? Would you finish it? Should I change the borders to something solid?? Or just stuff it into the trash? I loved the blocks, just not the fabric so much anymore.
Any suggestions?

Finish it, machine quilt and bind in matching solid if needed.....it will be a great donation quilt.
Whatever you decide, please don't stuff it in the trash. It really is very nice, and I'm quite sure someone would love to have it! If you're really unhappy with it, I'd love to take it off your hands and quilt it for our quilting ministry outreach. We make quilts for a local nursing home as well as a pregnancy counseling center, and others in need of a warm quilty hug, and we would be honored to get this top to a deserving person.
Finish and donate it. I am sure there is someone out there who would love to have a handmade quilt to keep them warm on a cold winter night. Please do not throw it away.
Oh finish it. Never waste it. If you don't like it as a reminder of what you have made donate it. Someone out there will love it....
Finish it up and donate it. Anyone who has illness, lost their home or ran from a bad relationship would love it and the comfort it would bring.
You put so much work into it for it to go to waste. Finish it! Keep it, donate it, use it, but don't toss it. :)
I have one in the same colors and I just loved it. In fact I loved it to death and it is now my dog, Maggie's blanket. Overtime I wash it, I think I should relegate it to the trash can. Just finish it and love it!
Yes, I agree Finish It! Many people do not notice "dated" materials. Some woman will love it! How about using it to practice new quilt designs, or try something over the top, or some new border technique? It's a lovely quilt - hey we're all becoming dated! Elaine Adair
Finish it. If you don't still like it, then donate it. Lots of places to donate it. Someone will love it. I need to pull my sampler out, and finish the last block.
I agree with the comments to definitely not waste this piece. I would finish it and use on an outdoor chair or maybe on a side table as a cloth. It is part of your history as a quilter. Meanwhile I loved seeing those antique quilts. Thanks for showing them.
It's pretty! Finish it up, put a binding on it similar to the inside border, give it to a charity. Someone is going to LOVE cuddling up with it!
do better not put it in the trash it is lovely and yes complete it as if you do not want it once done you can always give to someone else or a charity, would make a great raffle prize
Finish it for use. It can be a donation quilt. Maybe you know a shut-in who would appreciate having it.

it's not Old and DATED, it's VINTAGE....... finish and donate it to a nursing home. Older people like music, films, and fashion that is reminiscent of their younger days - someone will love it.
