For years, ever since we moved into this house 11 years ago, I have tried to figure out how to hang garland and lights from the mantel. It has been a challenge using masking tape, painters tape or anything that might hold it down. I did not want to drill a hole into the wood of the mantel.
So I recently thought about using those hooks that are removable. And amazingly they worked!
This is what I used. Dollar Tree find.
Stick it on top of mantel.
And here is the garland, hanging pretty as you please.
Can't wait to put up the Christmas lights :-)

Your Fall wreath is adorable. Beautiful fireplace mantle too! Thanks for the great idea. I'll pop by Dollar Tree/Dollar Store to see if I can find some.
