Presenting........

Winter White!

The first Schnibbles pattern for the Year of Schnibbles.

I was a little confused about when we were supposed to show this quilt, so I hope that I did not miss the deadline. The problems with getting a hold of the fabric set me back a bit, but here it is.

I also was trying to do a little more free motion quilting following along with Mary Mashuta's Foolproof Machine Quilting.

Her method uses the walking foot, which I think give a little more control.

Looking forward to seeing the other Winter White quilts.

Happy Schnibbling :-)

** I am joining Park City Girl and her Fall Quilt Festival. Please be sure to stop by and visit all the other beautiful quilts that will be displayed this weekend!

Love the quilt! I may look for the book...I am very insecure in machine quilting anything but straight lines.

Too pretty. Is the material Glace from Moda?

Yes, I'd love to hear about quilting using the walking foot.

The last quilt I did I used my BSR foot to do some tight stippling. I also used the "Sewslip" that worked wonderfully.

Very pretty quilt- I had not heard of Mary Mashuta quilting techniques so I will have to check her out. I Know I have seen her name before when looking at quilt books.
Some other machine quilting techniques you may want to keep an eye out for are Patsy Thompson designs and a book called the " Art of McTavishing" by Karen McTavish.
Thanks for sharing your lovely Schnibble's quilt. Enjoy the festival.

Anna

Lovely quilt! I combine Mary Mashuta's technique with free motion for some wonderful results. I will drop the feed dogs and change out the foot then FM away. Then I'll change to the walking foot, put up the feed dogs and do some straight line quilting.
