Weekend Project

Isn't it great to get a project finished in a weekend? My little great niece is having a birthday next weekend, so I thought I would make her a tote bag. You can see the first one I made HERE.

Isn't it cute?? Do you think an 11 year old will like it? I had the denim fabric with the watermelons in my stash and never could figure out what to do with it. I don't have an embroidery machine, but I was able to personalize the tote with her name.

What fun things have you been up to this weekend?

Happy Quilting!

*** BeamNRead update ***
Congratulations to Christine Carter (no blog) who left this comment on the giveaway -
I am excited about the Beam & Read. I am hoping I win and will probably buy another--I am an avid appliquer and my mother has macular degeneration. I am always looking for a better light to help her with her everyday tasks and to help continue her ability to enjoy reading. This product sounds like it is just what she needs. The magnifyer would be a plus as well!
I love to applique and making a miniature quilt is so much fun. The lighting either makes it possible or impossible. The Beam and Read would be so helpful regardless of whether I am at home, in a motel or in the car. I am excited about this product!
