WIP

There are some pretty awesome quilts being talked about on blogs lately. Recently Cottons 'n Wool challenged herself to make the Country Homecoming Quilt. I fell in love with those primitive houses and had to jump on the band wagon.

I gathered up my homespuns and started on the first block. It looks like I will need to pay a visit to one of my favorite quilt shops, Quilts on Plum Lane, for dark sashing. They have a great selection of homespuns and primitive fabrics.

So what have you been working on this week??

I love the homespuns -- very rustic and cozy! I'm working away on my little black embroidery piece! :)

Looks like you've been having some fun and I'm so glad to see it :)

I've been working on keeping all the balls in the air...that can be a real trick. I also have to get the binding on the quilt I made for my sister's birthday.

Hugs,
Kelly

I finished sewing on a binding, sewed a bit of embroidery and yesterday...transplanted a pine tree :-) Today if I can get over being sore, I'm going to sew borders on my double wedding ring quilt top. wish me luck :-)
Love the houses coming together!

What a cute little house block...but such a shame that you have to go out fabric shopping to get more to work with! LOL! Can I come along? :o)

XOXO,

Cyndi

I love this design, too! I bought some of the cutest flannel this week that I think will be nice for a quilt backing! I can't wait to get started on some sewing!
