BOM Rehab

Sinta over at Pink Pincushion has been encouraging us to dig out and finish our BOM projects.

So I have been working on a Fat Quarter Shop Mystery BOM that has been sitting around here for a couple of years.

One bit of advice. Do NOT make a mistake in cutting :-S There is no extra fabric to re-cut anything. I am having to rob peter to pay paul on one of the blocks. I think I can make it work, but we will see. I'm feeling good about getting my BOM finished and at least making up a block here and there.

Happy Quilting!

I had the same problem on this month's apron. I cut the selvages off (to save for a quilt) while the fabric was folded and ended up cutting the fabric in half. Lesson learned...never try to rush through a project, but enjoy the experience!

My gosh Sinta, I am so surprised that you didn't have extra fabric in your BOM from the FQS!!! Every block I have ever done, has had enough fabric for almost two complete blocks and most people have said the same. I know that the FQS may not have an exact match, but I'm willing to bet if you make a mistake cutting and come up short, you could call them and they could get you something from the same designers that would work as a substitute...I'm also betting they wouldn't charge you for it. I'm just sayin...don't know for sure. BUT, their effort toward excellent customer service have, for me exceeded all my highest expectations. You might check it out. Big Hugs...

Ahem...I know your not 'Sinta', not sure where my mind was on that...chuck it off to a 'Senior Moment', LOL. I tried to delete it, but it wouldn't let me so I'll just make my embarrassed apologies and tell you, I DO know who's blog I was commenting on, *blushing furiously*...hugs???

That seems to be some good advice! I do like your pattern - I've never seen that before. Isn't it wonderful to get a project done?
Thanks so much for popping in to see me.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

This fabric is one of my favorites for Christmas. If you need a piece or two, just holler and I'll send you some. (I just need to locate it in my stash!)
