I keep saying that I'm going to learn some jewelry making, but, each time I buy stuff (thrift stores are great), I just send it off to my BFF and her daughter, who already make jewelry. If I was closer to them, they could teach me. I'd just love to make cute scissor chains.

I love beading and making jewelry. It uses a much different skill set than quilting. When I switch from one to the other there is a learning curve to master each time but it is like I reset my brain. I appreciate each one so much more.
When I feel I can't get interested in another quilting project I go bead a while and my brain starts relaxing and I get ideas for new quilts. Same thing for beading.
I think I have reached my max though. I picked up knitting about 6 months ago and I love it as much as the other things so I never feel I have enough hours in the day to do all the things I love.

Nice work! I'm impressed you can clear a space for another hobby.

That is just beautiful. It almost makes me feel I want to take up jewelry making too!

I was so excited to see your post because I also make jewelry & quilt & etc. (lol)! I don't know anyone else who does. There is so much instant satisfaction in jewelry, isn't there?
