This is America

Wanda Long of Franklin, Indiana, is the quilter all of us want to be when we grow up. At 88 years old, Wanda is happy to live alone, surrounded by her many quilts and getting out of the house often to volunteer at the food pantry. “My theory is everyone should have a hobby,” she says, “because one of these days you’re not going to be working and you need something to occupy your time.” Watch the video at the link below for your quilting inspiration.

I just watched the video featuring Wanda! What a remarkable lady and what great motivation to keep going no matter what age.

They show her Singer 401 sewing machine. Love all her toy machines that she has collected, too. Thanks.

Wanda is one amazing lady, to be so active at her age is what we all hope for. Very inspirational
