If you have ever worked with Batiks and wondered how they are made, I found this interesting video on the process of making batik fabric. There are NO machines involved in making these beautiful designs. I was totally amazed at the extent of this process. It is no less than an art form.

Thank you for this post. It seems people either love or don't care for Batik fabrics. I have been a huge fan of Batiks. I enjoy applique and batiks make the picture come to life. I had no clue of the labor intensive process it takes to make this beautiful fabric. The prices are not that much more than quilt shop cottons. I have a new appreciation for all my batik fabrics and the people that make it.
