Well the first little quilt top is quilted. Just need to sew down the binding.
And while I was still sorting through scraps, I found several HST's that were ready to go. So I pieced them together and tried to make a civil war looking wall hanging.
Well I tried to give it a civil war look :-S
How's your day going? Is everyone thawing out from the Blizzard of 2011?? What are you working on this weekend? I hope there is some Happy Quilting involved :-)

Enjoying much better weather, thank you! I'm going to receive the February BOM for the Homestead Hearth Civil War quilt tomorrow. Please visit my blog to see how the Jan. block came out.
Nice little quilt. Have you ever considered using the cute cottage from your blog button as your header picture? It would be great.
Your little wallhanging is cute! My day is just starting so I can't complain. I hope to get some hand stitching in this weekend.
Only dabs of sewing here.....that is a smart thing to do with that block, I have several just hanging around here and there, tossed from one drawer or bin to the next.
We have been out of town....fixing to head home but I have been crocheting away!!! I really think I am hooked on this thing!!!!
I does have a Civil War look to it. It is very sweet. Boy, you are really getting a lot done. Keep it up.
Thankfully it is going to warm up today! Your civil war wall hanging is adorable. At least you are getting something done girlie!
Love your new background.
Hi there....I love the photo of you at the top of the page....it looks almost like me...I had no idea we looked so much alike :)
The snow here is not nearly as bad as Chicago....we are managing just fine.
I like the civil war quilt...I think it will be a nice wallhanging.
Smiles,
Kelly
Glad you are making progress. The nasty weather has been great up here for sewing. This weekend I am going to a Super Bowl sale at the LQS and then I am going to make some hot pads for my girls for their up coming birthdays. Just some fun sewing for me.
I like the block. I do like the Civil War look to it. Good job!

Your little hst quilt is darling, Jocelyn! I'm so scared to do those, I can just imagine what wonkiness I'd end up with, lol. I'm going to get my tutorial done this weekend if it kills me - and POSSIBLY help my girlfriend move her sewing stuff to her new house. Not looking forward to that, both because I don't want her to move and because it will be SO COLD.
You have been busy! At least this weather is useful something - lots more quilting!
Sounds like you kept yourself busy during the blizzard. I had to go to Dallas for a work meeting so I missed the big storm. Luckily the neighbors shoveled the drive for us before I got home :)
Have a great weekend.
Jane
I think you have succeeded with the cute shirting type border....very cute :0)

Precious! Love the red and blue fabrics. This makes me anxious to get some of my HSTs sewn together. Thanks so much for sharing the link.
