Traditional

This years Quilt show in Paducah was amazing. As I mention in yesterday's post, many of the quilts were more Traditional. I love Traditional quilts and have always admired the work that goes into them. As we are not allowed to post the winning quilts on our blogs, I found the AQS website where you can go and see the winning quilts for yourself. American Quilters Society website

These pictures are just a little of the quilting to give you an up close look.

Many of the quilts are still being quilted on domestic sewing machines.

More tomorrow :-)

Happy Quilting!

Hi there, I loved seeing the quilting but would have thought they were hand quilted and not machine quilted. I can only hope to someday be able to produce such intricate quilting-but then I hope to be able to see well enough to do it.
Thank you for sharing.

Thanks so much for the close-ups of these fantastic quilts, and for the link to the winners.

I'm studying these pics....the fmq is amazing! These women have such talent....I going to give some of these patterns a try! The feathers are amazing....perfect circles.....and loved the wavy lines between the dots on the black/white polka dot fabric....simple, but very effective.....love that!

Absolutely amazing. I'd be happy if my FMQ was 10% as good as these. Thanks for sharing.
