Landscape quilt

Last year when I had a back injury, Kelly from I Have A Notion sent me a very cute Landscape pattern with some coordinating fabric. As I could not do much quilting, it was a good project for me to work on as I felt up to it.

Fast forward to last week when my BFF was visiting. I showed her the top that I made. She challenged me to finish the little quilt. So I dug out the threads

and started machine quilting the details of the Landscape.

I now have a completed Fall landscape quilt hanging on the wall.

I would love to make one for Spring and Summer to change out with the seasons.

Beautiful. I purchased a landscape book recently since this method seems very appealing to me.

What a beauty Jocelyn. At first I thought the spools of thread were part of the design & said 'that is so cool'. Chuckle. Better eyesight soon I hope. Hope you & BFF had a grand time.

Pop over & tell your friends about our 'quilting' giveaway that ends tomorrow.

Have a beautiful weekend, my friend ~

How pretty! I purchased a landscape pattern of Mt. Rainier when we were in Seattle, and I had just barely started quilting. I didn't have the skills for it then, but wasn't sure I'd ever get back to the area. Maybe it's time to pull it out and get started!

You did a beautiful job.......I have a kit with a Tuscany countryside. I have not attempted it yet.

One of the ladies in our group read about a pass around quilt challenge.... that is like the game telephone.... Each person does a minature quilt and then passes it to the next person....then that person does something similar to the one that was passed to them. Such as if one did a quilt with shoes on it the next person maybe could do one with purses and it keeps going around. I am waiting to see if our group is going to do it and then I'm going to do the Tuscan countryside

That is great. You're right, it would look wonderful in different colours for each season.

Beautiful! I have always wanted to do a landscape but never thought of one that small. Now, where on earth do you get a kit like that?
