Shhhhhhh...............

Okay, I'm going to let you in on a little secret................

For years I have used Hobbs Heirloom Premium Batting for my quilts. We all have our favorites, and I've come to like this brand the best. The big "JA" fabric store used to carry it, but I no longer find it there. So I did a little shopping and found it at Michael's.

Now what we need to keep under wraps is that this same size batting at the big "JA" store can be a little pricey. I looked online and they are carrying Warm and White for $26.99 (sale price $16.19), and Warm and Natural for $34.99 (on sale for $20.99). The price at Michaels for the Hobbs Heirloom QUEEN size cotton batting is regularly $16.99 Whenever "JA" issues a 50% off coupon, I trot on down to Michaels and buy the QUEEN size batting for $8.50.

Shhhhhhh,............. you didn't hear it from me ;-)

Wow, that's a steal!

I'm looking to change the batting I use. I tried Warm and Natural, and I love the way it worked up, but I hated the way it quilted. My needle just didn't want to go through it at all (I hand quilt).

Great price. I don't think my Michael's carries batting unless this is a new item they are carrying. I'll have to look this weekend.

I love warm and nautral and have a whole bolt of the queen sized one from JA, ordered it one day with a coupon and then they offered free shipping or something like that, got it for almost half price.

Holy cow.....I didn't know Michael's would take JA's coupons! I'm headed there this week to see, coupons in hand! Thanks!

I've always loved Hobbs batting, but it was so darned expensive, I had to switch. I'd love to go back to Hobbs now! Yay!

LOL I know that feeling I found out the other day that Joann's has a smart phone app that gives weekly coupons. My first week I got batting that was marked 50% off at 50% off that. What a deal that was. I love 50% off any thing.

Thank you so much for the "secret" I've used the Hobbs and really liked it. I am low on batting so I'll be looking for the 50% off coupons so I can run over to Michael's.

Yes I am a Hobbs gal too! Will try to remember about the coupons at Micheal's!! I always forget! I did stock up on the last sale as the JA's here still had it. I wanted to try the MMist Cream Rose so used my coupon at JA. Will see how it works up as heard good things.

Same for JA...they take all competitor's coupons. As a new quilter so far all I have really used is warm & white. I will have to try this....looks like a deal.
Thanx!!

How I wish we had a JA or a Michael's here in the UK. I keep reading of their wonderful prices. Here in the UK, that same make and size of wadding costs about $30!

Wow, you can't beat that price ($8.50). I am going to have to check to see if our Michael's carries batting.

Hobbs Heirloom is my favorite too ( great for hand quilting). Unfortunately there are no JA's or Micheals around here, so I buy on line.....and it's on sale right now for 13.99 (Queen), so I buy 5-6 at a time and combine the shipping....
